We are going to visit the garden of Marion Stainton who came to talk to us on Raised Bed Vegetables last month.  Marion opens her garden for the NGS on the 11th September this year and it is a 2.5 acre country garden with a long season of interest.  The part-walled enclosed vegetable garden and greenhouse has power provided by wind & solar energy to run lighting and pump water from an underground rainwater tank.  The orchard, ornamental perennial and shrub borders, wildlife pond, evolving arboretum cum coppice and meadow, also have stunning views over the Golden Valley and surrounding areas.  See her web site here

Two course lunch and coffee here, £13.00 (please say if vegetarian).
After lunch TOUR OF GARDEN, £5.00

The gardens at Kentchurch Court have developed over the years since John Lucy Scudamore inherited the house in 1815. Much of the 25 acre gardens roots can be found in the picturesque landscape style, popular during that period. The recently created borders in the walled garden house a comprehensive collection of geraniums, digitalis, nepeta, rudbekia and many other plant families. There is always something new to see from the first hellebores through to the last of the asters.
